All first-year students will arrive to Yale on Sunday, August 23rd, and have two days of on-campus orientation. Students will then participate in their chosen orientation program from Wednesday, August 26th to Sunday, August 30th. FOOT is one of them! Students will then have another on-campus orientation session. Classes begin on Wednesday, September 2nd.
FOOT will offer 4-day trips August 26th-30th in the Green Mountains of Vermont, the Catskills of New York, the Berkshires of Western Massachusetts, and on the Appalachian Trail in New York and Connecticut. We will also be adding more locations this summer! We will place you on a trip - don’t worry too much about where you go. They are all fabulous!
Registration will go live on April 1 as part of the housing form from the Dean’s Office.
Your final confirmation for the trip is contingent on having the medical form filled in. These are due July 7th, 2026. Follow the instructions on your HACY form to complete your medical form.
